FIELD: test equipment; mining.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for carrying out tests in wells. Disclosed is method for selection of hydrocarbon wells for operational testing, comprising steps of: selecting hydrocarbon well for operational testing, wherein selected by identifying by means of computer system, hydrocarbon well, which last operational testing occurred before preset date, for producing identified wells; identified by computer system, hydrocarbon well with parameter, which exceeds preset threshold, to obtain identified wells; selecting predetermined number of hydrocarbon wells from identified wells for formation of list of selected; and then conducting well test procedure relative to at least one of hydrocarbon wells from list of selected.
