An HIFU transducer 10H forms a displacement ultrasonic beam EB toward a treatment site P to transmit an ultrasonic wave for displacement generation, and generates radiant power in the treatment site P to displace tissue therein. A diagnostic transducer 10D forms a measurement ultrasonic beam MB toward the treatment site P to transmit/receive an ultrasonic wave for measurement, and obtains a received signal along the measurement ultrasonic beam MB. A displacement measurement unit 24 measures the displacement in the treatment site P on the basis of the received signal obtained along the measurement ultrasonic beam MB. On the basis of the measured displacement, a displacement map formation unit 25 forms a displacement map indicating the periodic change of the displacement. A coagulation measurement unit 26 measures the coagulation of the tissue in the treatment site P on the basis of the displacement map. |
