A swing comprises a seat 10 pivotally coupled to a head portion 14 that has a handgrip formation 13 projecting from each side thereof at a position above the level of the seat 10, a footrest 23 projecting from each side of the head portion 14, a frame, and suspension means 11, 12 suspending the seat 10 from the frame. The head portion 14 comprises two parallel plastic mouldings (15, figure 2) formed with openings for connection of the handgrip formations 13 and the footrests 23, the two plastic mouldings (15) being spaced apart with a soft toy 24 located with a push-fit engagement between the two mouldings. The soft toy 24 may be in the form of an animal and increases the attraction of the swing as well as acting to provide a cushioning action reducing the likelihood of injury to a young child riding on the swing. |
