The present invention provides a suction device having a lightweight rotating cleaning body capable of suppressing vibration and suppressing thermal contraction of a formed core, and an electric dust collector. In addition, the present invention also provides a suction device having a lightweight rotating cleaning body capable of suppressing vibration, capable of realizing miniaturization of a core, and capable of installing expected number of brushes in the way of ensuring the strength of slot parts for installing the brushes, and an electric dust collector. The suction device has the rotating cleaning body (30) comprising the approximately cylindric core (31), the slot parts (32) formed at a peripheral part of the core (31), and the brushes (33) installed on the slot parts (32), wherein, the core (31) consists of a carbon fiber containing resin comprising carbon fiber and thermoplastic resin, the carbon fiber containing resin contains 5%-20% by mass of the carbon fiber, and the carbon fiber containing resin is formed by utilizing an injection-moulded forming process. |
