Disclosed herein is a battery module including a battery cell array including two or more stacked battery cells, each of which is configured to have a structure in which an electrode assembly, including a cathode, and anode, and a separator disposed between the cathode and the anode, is received in a battery case together with an electrolyte in a sealed state, fixing members for fixing the respective battery cells to form a battery cell stack structure, each of the fixing members being integrally coupled to an outer circumference of a corresponding one of the battery cells, wherein at least one of the fixing members is provided with a venting guiding portion, from which a portion of the outer circumference of each of the battery cells is exposed, such that sealing of the battery case is released through the venting guiding portion when internal pressure of each of the battery cells increases. |
