The pump has a pump housing (1) comprising a pump impeller that is driven by an electric motor, where the motor is arranged in a motor housing (8). The motor housing is axially connected to the pump housing. A terminal box (12) is axially connected to the motor housing for accommodating electric and/or electronic components of an engine control. An electric plug connection has a plug or socket (34) that is arranged on outside of the terminal box. The plug or socket is arranged axially offset with respect to the terminal box and arranged adjacent to the motor housing.
