An exercise bike 1 comprising: a base2 and a frame 3. The frame has a head tube 9 and a steering stem 11mounted in the head tube which is rotatable about the longitudinal axis 19 of the stem by a user. A lower part of the frame is pivotally mounted to the base to allow rotation of the frame, about a horizontal axis 21. A first resilient mounting 16 is provided between the frame and the base, and a second resilient mounting 17 is provided between the steering stem and the base. The first and second resilient mountings are configured to bias the frame towards an upright position. The second resilient mounting is further configured to urge the steering stem to be straight. The first resilient mounting may consist of two resilient bushes 20A and 20B, and the second resilient mounting may consist of a riser 18, a resilient cord 22 and an adjustment mechanism 23. The exercise bike may further comprise a drive mechanism and an associated fly wheel. |
