PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can save a space and irradiates an image carrier with destaticizing light.SOLUTION: A destaticizing part 12a is disposed at a position where a distance from an intermediate transfer belt 7 is longer than a distance from the belt 7 to an adjoining developing part constituting an adjoining image forming unit, and is configured to emit a first light 131a to a photoreceptor drum side so as to irradiate a region after a transfer process on the photoreceptor drum with the first light as a first destaticizing light, and to emit a second light 132a to an adjoining photoreceptor drum side, allowing the second light to be reflected on the belt 7 to irradiate as a second destaticizing light a region before a transfer process on the adjoining photoreceptor drum. A second LED 122a located at an end in the main scanning direction is disposed inside in the main scanning direction of a first LED 121a that is located at an end in the main scanning direction. A substrate 150a mounting the first LED 121a and the second LED 122a has an extension part 151a that extends closer to an adjoining image carrier side than to an emitting surface 122aA of the second LED 122a and that reflects a part of the second light 132a to the belt 7 side. |
