PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the correction accuracy of an image forming condition by considering the fluctuations of the transfer amount of toner caused by the fluctuations of the pressing force of a transfer part.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, an image forming part 40 adheres the toner to an image carrier 50, to form a correction patch toner image or an image forming toner image. A transfer part 60 includes a transfer roller 61 coming into contact with the image carrier 50. A bias amount adjusting part 109 includes a voltage applying part applying a bias having the same polarity as that of the toner image to the transfer roller and adjusts the level of the bias applied by the voltage applying part, on the basis of the pressing force of the transfer roller applied to the image carrier, when the correction patch toner image formed on the image carrier passes through the transfer part. A density detection sensor 91 is arranged on the downstream side of the transfer part 60 in the image carrier 50 and detects the density of the correction patch toner image formed on the image carrier 50. A control part 100 corrects the image forming condition of an image forming part 40, on the basis of the detection value detected by the density detection sensor 91. |
