PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interchangeable lens capable of suitably transmitting lens information to a camera body even when the lens information is stored by a form different from a normal data form when the state of the lens is changed.SOLUTION: The communication method of an interchangeable lens comprises: transmitting whole optical information for each state of a plurality of lenses to a camera body during the first lens connection when the camera body is a first type (S3); transmitting lens information according to the present lens state during the first lens connection when the camera body is a second or third type (S3); performing a second camera control for transmitting lens information according to a request when the camera body is the second type (S13) and performing a third camera control for forcibly intercepting a communication when the camera body is the third type (S15), when the lens state of the interchangeable lens (S7) is changed. |
