PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for taking multiple images of a target to generate a magnification correction used to determine dimensions of the target.SOLUTION: A method for correcting a magnification in image measurement is implemented using a computer device 116 including one or more processors 118 coupled to a user interface 120 and one or more memory devices 122. The method includes acquiring a plurality of images of a target 112. Each image is acquired at a different distance 113 from the target 112. The method also includes determining a distance 113 between a lens 106 used in acquiring the plurality of images and the target 112, and determining a magnification of each acquired image. The method further includes determining a magnification correction with respect to a certain reference, determining a change in size of the target 112, and outputting the determined change in size of the target 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
