Provided is an optical filter that, when fit to an image pickup device, can increase the degree of freedom for the position of a fine uneven structure, can increase the degree of freedom for the design of the fine uneven structure, and has a light blocking film which enables a further decrease in stray light. Also provided is an image pickup device which includes such an optical filter. An optical filter 100 is used in an image pickup device into which light from an object or a light source is incident and which has built therein an image pickup element. The optical filter 100 is disposed between the object or the light source and the image pickup element, and includes an optical filter body 10 that has light transmitting properties for a specific wavelength of light with respect to the incident light, and a light blocking film 20 that is disposed on at least one surface of the optical filter body 10, has a prescribed pattern shape, and blocks a portion of incident light. The optical filter body 10 includes a transparent substrate 11. In at least one interface between the transparent substrate 11 and the light blocking film 20, provided is a first fine uneven structure 22 for suppressing the reflection of light. |
