PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an incomplete insertion state of an optical plug beforehand in fitting and prevent erroneous removal of the optical plug in a normal fitting.SOLUTION: A first positioning protrusion 51 is protrudingly provided on a rear end of an outer cover 24, and a second positioning protrusion 52 is protrudingly provided at a rear end of a knob 12 corresponding to the first projection. Both protrusions 51 and 52 are configured to be superposed when an optical plug P is normally fitted in an adapter at a moving end where the outer cover along with a spring guide 23 retreats to a position of a stopper guide 22. An incomplete-insertion/removal prevention device further includes a cap 53 that can be mounted across the mutually matched first protrusion and the second protrusion, and that is locked to a locking part of a boot protrusion 61 of a boot 11 to prevent pull-out of the boot 11. |
