[Class 141] A glove having the thumb arranged symmetrically between the back and palm so that the glove may be worn on either hand, is formed from a single blank having an integral thumb portion adjacent the centre thereof, the blank being cut into two parts along a line passing along the centre of the thumb portion, the two parts then being sewn together with fourchettes 8 ded between the back and the palm. Four fourchettes are provided, the first, with a spatula-shaped part 7 to complete the thumb, extending round the forefinger to the intersection of the first and middle fingers, the second from the intersection of the first and middle to the intersection of the middle and third fingers, the third then extending to the intersection of the third and fourth fingers and the fourth fourchette continuing from the intersection of the third and fourth fingers round the tip of the fourth finger and up to the wrist. Dovetailed cut formations 10 are provided at the intersections of the fourchettes. |
