摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation element capable of generating power by causing a magnetostrictive bar to extend or shrink in an axial direction during forced vibration.SOLUTION: In a power generation element, both ends of magnetostrictive bars 11 and 12 are pivotally supported by a first yoke 21c and a second yoke 22c. Accordingly, even when the second yoke 22c is in relative forced translational movement with respect to the first yoke 21c, restriction in a rotation direction can be reduced, thereby the magnetostrictive bars 11 and 12 are prevented from being deformed into an S-shape. Thus, change in magnetic flux density in one of the magnetostrictive bars can be prevented from canceling out to enable power generation during forced vibration. Further, force of deforming the magnetostrictive bars 11 and 12 into the S-shape (or force required for the deformation not contributing to the power generation) can be reduced so that deformation in the axial direction can be applied to the magnetostrictive bars 11 and 12 with a less force, whereby power generation efficiency can be improved.
