The invention relates to a heavy goods vehicle having a multi-axle chassis for transporting, setting down, and taking up work machines that are used in particular in any kind of track system. The aim of the invention is to find a new way of transporting, setting down, and taking up piece goods, in particular for work machines on track systems, which under confined access conditions to a setting down and taking up point allows a very precise taking up or setting down of piece goods without the chassis having to be specially orientated with respect to the track system. Said aim is achieved according to the invention in that the chassis (1) has, in the rear section thereof, a loading platform (2) that is rotatable with respect to the chassis (1) and has a pivotable telescoping boom (5). Upstream of the loading platform (2) in the direction of travel (8), a loading surface (3) that is positioned level with the loading platform is arranged on the chassis (1) and equipped with a loading system (22) for transporting the piece goods (39) from the loading platform (2) onto the loading surface (3) and vice versa. The loading platform (2) comprises the telescoping boom (5) and a toothed ring (43) for rotating the loading platform (2), the toothed ring (43) being engaged by a drive pinion (13) of a drive motor (14) for vertical rotation of the loading platform (2). |
