PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveyance system having versatility.SOLUTION: First reception means of a paper insertion device 36 of a paper conveyance system 1 receives an insertion request including an insertion waiting time and an insertion instruction of a second recording medium from a repeating device 34. Determination means determines insertion timing for inserting the second recording medium between first recording media on the basis of the insertion waiting time included in the received insertion request. First conveyance control means performs conveyance control of the second recording medium to a joining position for inserting the second recording medium between the first recording media at the determined insertion timing. The insertion waiting time is an addition value of a first conveyance time period when the second recording medium is assumed to be conveyed in a pseudo manner from a predetermined insertion request transmission position in a paper conveyance device 10 to an ejection surface for a first recording medium in the paper conveyance device 10, and a second conveyance time period when the second recording medium is assumed to be conveyed in a pseudo manner from a reception surface of the first recording medium in the relaying device 34 to the ejection surface of the first recording medium in the relaying device 34. |
