PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress extreme change of azimuth when a gyro compass is switched.SOLUTION: An azimuth measurement system includes first and second gyro compasses 1 and 2, and selects and outputs either one azimuth of the first and second gyro compasses 1 or 2 to the outside. When the first gyro compass 1 which outputs the azimuth to the outside is switched to the second gyro compass 2 which does not output the azimuth to the outside, a correction azimuth obtained by adding azimuth difference between the azimuth of the first gyro compass 1 and the azimuth of the second gyro compass 2 and the azimuth of the second gyro compass 2, is outputted to the outside as an initial azimuth at the switching, and then the correction azimuth in which the azimuth difference is sequentially decreased in time series is outputted to the outside. |
