Disclosed are a support apparatus for turning over a hull block and a method for turning over a hull block. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the support apparatus for turning over a hull block supports a hull block on a lower portion of the block when turning over the block, and comprises: a mobile body; a driving unit installed on the mobile body to move the mobile body; a support unit provided on the mobile body to support the block on the lower portion of the block; a control unit which is installed on the mobile body, and transmits and receives various control signals and communication signals; and an operating unit to communicate with the control unit in a wired or a wireless manner and remotely control the mobile body.
