In order to reduce the time taken for blood flow measurement, an embodiment of the present invention is a blood flow measurement device for acquiring blood flow information relating to a blood vessel of interest in a living body, and includes a scanning unit for scanning a cross-section intersecting with the blood vessel of interest using optical coherence tomography, an image forming unit for forming an image of the cross-section on the basis of data acquired from the scanning, an image processing unit for processing the image, and a control unit. The control unit controls the scanning unit so that the scanning unit recursively scans one or more cross-sections of the blood vessel of interest. The image forming unit forms a phase image representing the change over time of a phase difference in the one or more cross-sections on the basis of data acquired from the recursive scanning. The image forming unit outputs a predetermined signal on the basis of the change over time of the phase difference represented by the phase image. In response to reception of a predetermined signal, the control unit causes the scanning unit to start scanning for acquiring blood flow information. |
