METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING INDEX OF DELIRIUM

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing index data about delirium, which are capable of providing data for assisting in early detecting or categorizing a delirium symptom, or developing a treatment thereof by analyzing a brainwave component of a patient by using a nonlinear dynamic system. The method for providing index data about delirium comprises the steps of: constituting an attractor corresponding to a brainwave; measuring an attractor area of an alpha wave, an attractor are of a beta wave, and an attractor area of the whole of the brainwave based on the attractor; and calculating and outputting a delirium index indicating a degree of a delirium symptom based on the attractor area of the alpha wave and the attractor are of the beta wave.
