a first transistor, associated with a pixel, comprising a gate electrode connected to a scan line, an electrode connected to a data line, and another electrode connected to a first node; a first capacitor comprising one terminal connected to the first node and the other terminal connected to a common voltage line; a second transistor comprising a gate electrode connected to a first control signal line, an electrode connected to the first node, and another electrode connected to a second node; a liquid crystal element comprising one terminal connected to the second node and the other terminal connected to the common voltage line; a third transistor comprising a gate electrode connected to a second control signal line, an electrode connected to the second node, and another electrode connected to the common voltage line; and a controller configured to alternately, based on a period of a horizontal signal, apply a common voltage through the common voltage line at a high level and a low level.
