A control method for driving a hydraulic actuator for a combined operation by operating work equipment such as a swing and a boom of an upper swivel body is disclosed. A control method for driving a hydraulic actuator of a construction machine according to the present invention, wherein the apparatus for driving a hydraulic actuator comprises: a swing operation lever; a boom operation lever; a swing motor and a boom cylinder respectively connected to a first and a second hydraulic pump; a swing and boom control valve for controlling hydraulic fluid supplied to the swing motor and the boom cylinder; and a controller for controlling the amount of hydraulic fluid discharged by the first and the second hydraulic pump so as to correspond to the degree of operation of the swing operation lever and the boom operation lever, is characterised by comprising the steps of: setting a maximum power ratio of the boom cylinder and the swing motor as a percentage when performing a combined operation by driving the boom cylinder and the swing motor; calculating a maximum power limitation value of a second hydraulic pump according to the set ratio of the boom cylinder, and calculating a maximum power limitation value of a first hydraulic pump according to the set ratio of the swing motor; and calculating an amount of hydraulic fluid according to the maximum power limitation value of the first hydraulic pump and an amount of hydraulic fluid according to the maximum power limitation value of the second hydraulic pump, and restricting the maximum amount of hydraulic fluid of the first and the second hydraulic pump using the calculated amount of hydraulic fluid when performing a combined operation.
