Provided is a manufacturing method for a wire 10 with a terminal, wherein the wire 10 is provided with a wire 11 that has a core 13 comprising a plurality of strands 15 and a female terminal 12 that has a wire barrel 19 crimped around the core 13, the method comprising a first step of supplying ultrasonic vibrations to the core 13 and a second step of crimping the wire barrel 19 to the region of the core 13 to which ultrasonic vibrations were supplied. In cases where the core 13 in the wire 10 with a terminal is to be compressed further following the second step, the first step provides ultrasonic vibrations to the core 13 while leaving a compression margin for the crimping of the second step so as to stabilize the resistance between the wire 11 and the female terminal 12 up to a point before the strands 15 in the wire 10 with a terminal break.
