The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for automatically dispensing stamps. The apparatus comprises: a housing for containing a plurality of stamps; a dispensing device for dispensing at least one stamp from the plurality of stamps; and a control device for receiving information from a point-of-sale terminal which is adapted to communicate with the apparatus, it is characterized in that said control device is adapted to control said dispensing device so as to dispense a certain number of stamps according to the information received. |
