PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit distortion of a first metal member from being caused by welding heat when a second metal member is arc-welded to the first metal member having a thin plate shape.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a joint device 1 for arc-welding a second metal member W2 to one surface F1 of a first metal member W1 having a thin plate shape. The joint device according to the invention includes: a welding part 10 which arc-welds the second metal member W2 to the one surface F1 of the first metal member W1; and a cooling part 20 which cools the first metal member W1 from a surface F2 of the first metal member W1 located at the opposite side of the one surface F1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
