PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector provided with a device that efficiently cools an optical modulation device.SOLUTION: A projector comprises: a light source; an optical modulation device 52G for modulating a luminous flux emitted from the light source in response to image information; cooling fans for transmitting cooling air; and a duct 8 for guiding the cooling air to the optical modulation device 52G. The duct 8 includes: an outflow port 821 for causing the cooling air to outflow toward the optical modulation device 52G; and an outflow port 814 for causing the cooling air that regulates the cooling air outflowing from the outflow port 821 to flow to a luminous flux emission side end surface of the optical modulation device 52G to outflow. |
