PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of establishing compatibility between operability and multifunctionality of a release button.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 includes: a release button that is stroked in a predetermined direction so that a photographic operation can be performed with a user's finger; operation means that is provided for the release button and that detects a position or motion of his/her finger for performing the photographic operation in a direction different from a direction of a stroke for the photographic operation; and control means for executing a predetermined function pre-allocated to the position or motion of his/her finger, when the position or motion of his/her finger is detected by the operation means. |
