PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a cause of an error generated in an optical scanner.SOLUTION: When a divided voltage value obtained by a plurality of voltage-dividing resistors R1, R2 connected between a synchronization signal output unit 248 and ground is equal to or larger than a second threshold which is smaller than a first threshold to be used when the synchronization signal output unit 248 outputs the synchronization signal, a control unit 100 determines that the quantity of a laser beam from a light-emitting element is sufficient. When the voltage value is less than the second threshold, the control unit determines that the quantity of laser beam is insufficient, and displays a determination result on a display unit 47. |
