A fluid motor for a pneumatic or hydraulic drive system that comprises at least two piston assemblies and a drive member 42 is provided. Each of the piston assemblies comprises a corresponding piston means 30a-c. The at least two piston assemblies are operable to cause sequential reciprocating movement of the piston means 30a-c. The drive member 42 is rotatable about an axis and provides a wave-like surface 50 extending radially to the axis and extending continuously around the axis, onto which the piston means 30a-c may project. The piston means 30a-c are arranged to drive rotation of the drive member 42 about the axis at least by cooperating with the wave-like surface 50. |
