[Class 65 (ii)] A hinge for a door 6' comprises a spindle 4 about which a barrel 3 having a strap 5 attached to the door pivots, the strap being provided with a cam 12 adapted to engage a spring-pressed roller 13 mounted in a bracket 9 which carries the spindle and is attached to the door frame 10. The arrangement is such that when the door is closed the roller exerts sufficient pressure on the cam to urge the door against the frame, while a pull exerted on the closed door causes the roller to ride over the cam so that the door can be fully opened. |
