Method of abandonment of a subsea well 2 (fig 1C), comprising setting packer 37 (fig 3A) of lower cementing tool 35 (fig 3A) against bore of inner casing 6c 2 (fig 1C), hung from subsea wellhead 10 (fig 5C), fastening pressure control assembly (PCA) 70 (fig 5C) to the subsea wellhead, hanging upper cementing tool 90 (fig 5C) from the PCA and stabbing the upper cementing tool into polished bore receptacle 36 (fig 3A) of the lower cementing tool, perforating a wall of the inner casing below the packer, perforating the inner casing wall above the packer, pumping cement slurry 121 through bores of the cementing tools and the cementing plug drives the cement slurry through the perforations 117b below the packer and into an inner annulus 113b formed between the inner casing and the outer casing. The hanger 91 may have external seal 98u and latch 97 with perforating gun 93/94 with igniter 100 and charge carrier 101 attached to the hanger with stinger 95 connected to the perforating gun and the wiper plug may be connected to plug nipple 38. Release plug 122 may engage and launch cementing plug 40 (fig 6I) from the lower cementing tool. |
