Provided are a vehicle which generates an interruption for stopping voice recognition on the basis of the feature information of a passenger during a voice recognizing process, and a control method thereof. The vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an output part which provides a voice recognition interface; a microphone which obtains the voice of a passenger through the voice recognition interface; a voice recognition part which recognizes the obtained voice; a control part which generates a control command corresponding to the recognized voice; a camera which obtains the image of the passenger; and an interruption generating module which obtains the feature information of the passenger on the basis of the obtained image and transmits the interruption for stopping the generation of the control command according to the feature information of the passenger to the control part.
