摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring both electrophoretic mobility and mass concentration of particles in a fluid dispersion on the basis of only one measuring process. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: applying an AC field, such as an AC electric field, having a variable frequency to a fluid dispersion in a measurement cell; causing the AC field to oscillate particles in the fluid dispersion; forming an acoustic pressure wave in particles in the fluid dispersion; measuring acoustic pressure wave amplitude (ESA signal) on the basis of the frequency; detecting the maximum amplitude of the acoustic pressure wave; obtaining the frequency corresponding to this maximum amplitude as the resonance frequency of the acoustic pressure wave; obtaining mass concentration of the particles in the fluid dispersion on the basis of the resonance frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
