PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game control device, a game control method, a program, and a game system which can make a game more social.SOLUTION: The game control device includes: association means for associating users with each other; competition execution means 53 for executing a competition by the users in a game; acceptance means 54 for allowing application for participating in the competition to be accepted from a first user; setting means 56 which, in executing a first competition by a second user, sets a competition participating user from users associated with the second user on the basis of selection information for selecting the competition participating user who participates in the first competition; and granting means 58 for granting points or items in the game or an effect advantageous in the game to the first user when the competition participating user set by the setting means 56 is the first user. |
