According to an aspect of the present invention, provided is an ultrasound imaging apparatus capable of normally producing an ultrasound image normally even if an ultrasound probe is reversely installed. The ultrasound imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes: an ultrasound probe; a connector connecting the ultrasound probe to a main body; and the main body generating an ultrasound image by utilizing a signal transmitted via the connector, regardless of a direction in which the connector is coupled to the main body.
