The present invention relates to a medical composition used for assisting a chemotherapeutic agent, and to uses thereof. The medical composition has an effective amount of an extract of an Antrodia cinnamomea sporangium obtained by going through a step such as a hot water soaking method, a low-polarity solvent extraction method, and the like, which is manufactured by the medical composition with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The extract of an Antrodia cinnamomea sporangium can be used for improving effects of cancer treatment of the chemotherapeutic agents, which are cisplatin and gemcitabine, and can alleviate side effects such as hair loss, muscular degenerative diseases, muscular atrophy, damage to the gastrointestinal tract, nephritis, and the like generated in a process for treating cancer. |
