PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that appropriately shifts the apparatus to a low power consumption state.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has a standby state and a low power consumption state consuming less power than the standby state, and the low power consumption state includes a first low power consumption state where supply of power to a storage is stopped and a second low power consumption state where the supply of power to the storage is maintained. The image forming apparatus acquires information on the storage and determines, when shifting to the low power consumption state, whether to shift to the first low power consumption state or the second low power consumption state on the basis of the information on the storage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
