PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure for an exterior finishing material that enhances fitting strength of the exterior finishing material.SOLUTION: An installation structure for an exterior finishing material includes: a plurality of vertical support bodies 520 installed roughly at an equal interval on an exterior surface side of a building; a plurality of exterior finishing materials 111 installed over two or more vertical support bodies 520; a joint material 4 interposed between two adjacent exterior finishing materials 111 in a horizontal direction and disposed on the vertical support body 520; and a fastener 6 for retaining the exterior finishing material 111 on the vertical support body 520. The fastener 6 has an upward-facing piece 62, a downward-facing piece 63, a fixing plate 60, and a fixing hole 66, and is formed to be roughly equal in length with the exterior finishing material 111. A bottom edge of the exterior finishing material 111 is engaged with the upward-facing piece 62 of the fastener 6 positioned below the exterior finishing material. A top edge of the exterior finishing material 111 is engaged with the downward-facing piece 63 of the fastener 6 positioned above the exterior finishing material. The fixing hole 66 is formed on the fixing plate 60 at a position corresponding to the downward-facing piece 63.
