PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of weighing a vehicle at low cost.SOLUTION: A vehicle weight monitoring system 1 according to the present invention consists essentially of: an on-vehicle device 5 provided on a vehicle 3; a road-side communication device 7a for performing narrow-band communication with the on-vehicle device 5; and a server 9 connected with the road-side communication device 7a via a network. The system measures vibration data on the vehicle 3 during travel by a sensor 105 connected with the on-vehicle device 5, and collects the measured vibration data in a server 9 via the road-side communication device 7a. The server 9 figures the natural vibration frequency of the vehicle 3 on the basis of the collected vibration data, and calculates the weight of and the load on the vehicle 3 from the figured natural vibration frequency. The system determines whether the vehicle 3 is over-loaded or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
