Disclosed is a rapid braking device for a rail transit locomotive, comprising friction blocks (3) controlled by the locomotive and a bearing platform for contacting the friction blocks (3) to enable the locomotive to produce a braking force. The bearing platform is locomotive wheel rails (1) or a dedicated friction board (2) provided in parallel with the wheel rails; if being the dedicated friction board (2), the bearing platform is provided between the wheel rails (1), and the friction blocks (3) are provided in pairs and tightly clamp two sides of the dedicated friction board (2) to enable the locomotive to perform rapid braking. Since the locomotive is further provided with an additional independent system, the braking effect is considerably improved in emergency braking. In particular, the friction between the friction blocks (3) and the bearing platform is a sliding friction instead of the current rolling friction between wheels and rails of locomotives, which significantly prolongs the service life of wheels and rails and improves the reliability of locomotive emergency braking. |
