PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method capable of imaging a moving object under suitable imaging conditions.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an image sensor 1 which comprises a center part 11 which performs imaging at a first frame rate and a peripheral part 12 which is provided in the periphery of the center part 11 and performs imaging at a second frame rate higher than the first frame rate; and an image processing device 200 which calculates imaging conditions for the center part 11 on the basis of image data obtained by imaging in the peripheral part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
