PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which the significant change in the density difference between the foundation of a sheet on which a mark is printed for alignment of an image and the outside of the sheet in a case where, for example, a halation occurs on a boundary between the foundation of the sheet and the outside of the sheet at the time of scanning the image of the sheet, and the position of the mark cannot be specified since the end of the sheet of the scanned image data cannot be correctly detected in such a case.SOLUTION: An image is printed so as to lie on the end of a sheet, the printed image is read to generate image data, and the end of the sheet is detected from the generated image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
