A data processing method and apparatus for a multi-core processor. The method comprises: a working thread performs polling on a polling queue, and sequentially schedules packets or messages in a working queue comprised in the polling queue to be dequeued (101); and call an object method corresponding to the working queue to process the packets or the messages (102), the polling queue being a polling queue corresponding to the working thread or a polling queue corresponding to an active object instance comprised in the working thread. By performing polling on a polling queue, a working queue or packets or information in the working queue is scheduled, thereby improving the processing capability of the multi-core processor.
