The present invention provides a gas amount control apparatus in a combustor capable of rapidly controlling an amount of gas by rapidly spraying fuel gas corresponding to an amount of air supplied to a blower, and a control method thereof. To achieve this, the gas amount control apparatus in the combustor comprises: a burner (20); a blower (10) to supply air for the burner (20); a gas nozzle (110) to spray fuel gas to mix the air supplied from the blower (10) with fuel gas; a gas supply valve (120) to control the supply of fuel gas to the gas nozzle (110); a connection pipe (130) connected to the gas supply valve (120) to open a valve body (121) of the gas supply valve (120) with a pressure of the air supplied from the blower (10); and a control unit (200) to control an opening amount of the gas supply valve (120) by applying current to the gas supply valve (120).
