PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic acid solution decomposition device and method in which the efficiency of ozone utilization can be increased by reducing the self-decomposition of ozone.SOLUTION: The organic acid solution decomposition device comprises: a first reaction vessel 1 and a second reaction vessel 2 for accommodating an organic acid solution including formic acid and oxalic acid; a liquid sending device 3 for sending the organic acid solution from the first reaction vessel 1 to the second reaction vessel 2; a first ozone injection device 9a for injecting ozone into the first reaction vessel 1; and a second ozone injection device 9b for injecting ozone into the second reaction vessel 2. The first ozone injection device 9a injects ozone into the first reaction vessel 1 at a higher ozone injection speed than the second ozone injection device 9b to preferentially decompose the formic acid in the first reaction vessel 1, the liquid sending device 3 sends the organic acid solution processed in the first reaction vessel 1 to the second reaction vessel 2 to preferentially decompose the oxalic acid in the second reaction vessel 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
