To estimate an accurate depth value to a closed region and improve the quality of a synthesize eye-contact image when there are at least two remote participants in a site for a video conference using a video conference system, the present invention provides a method and an apparatus for providing a new eye-contact function to provide a natural eye-contact function to each participant by using a stereo image and a depth image. The method includes a a step of calculating a closed region in an object mask and a step of determining the depth of a boundary coordinate, and a correcting step. |
