Automatic textile machinery, in which a series of units are aligned on a frame. A transport system for cops has a central service unit with passageways for the cops, situated at the end of the frame. The automatic winder (1) winds from cops (6) to reels (19). The cops are mounted on individual pallets (7) and are transported to a series of units (5) along the frame. The transport conveyor (8, 11, 25) circulates around the frame and into the end service unit (2), without interference to the several other functions which are contained within the unit. Sensors with the necessary linkage, direct the cops (6) into the respective channels (11, 13, 16, 25). ADVANTAGE - The machines can be constructed to occupy less space.
