PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle equipped with a boost converter, which can prevent power of a power storage device from being exhausted and secure sufficient travelling distance even if the boost converter breaks down.SOLUTION: An inverter 26 that drives a motor generator 40 is electrically connected to a positive electrode line PL1 and a negative electrode line NL arranged between a power storage device B and a boost converter 10. The motor generator 40 can be operated in a regenerative operation mode. An ECU 50, in occurrence of abnormality of the boost converter 10, stops the operation of the boost converter 10, performs an evacuation travelling control for travelling by a motor generator 32 using power generated by the motor generator 30, and controls the inverter 26 so as to operate the motor generator 40 in a regenerative operation mode. |
