The invention relates to a harmonic drive transmission comprising a rigid unit (3) having internal toothing (12) and a flexible unit (2) having external toothing (4), and a magnetic field generating device (8) generating an alternating magnetic field, wherein the flexible unit (2) interacting with the alternating magnetic field experiences dynamic deformation as a result of generated magnetic forces induced by the field, via which deformation the engagement of the external toothing (4) in the internal toothing (12) is changed, such that the result is a relative movement between the rigid unit (3) and the flexible unit (2). The magnetic field generating unit (8) is arranged in the interior of the cylindrical flexible unit (2), which is rotationally fixed during operation, while the rigid unit (3) rotates about the dynamically deformed flexible unit (2). |
